What: Bag Wt. Before Soak: After Wt. dH2O Pos?
1) Starch Bag in dH2O    5.54 6.26 Neg for All
2) Protein Bag in dH2O 7.78 8.5 Neg for All
3) Sugar Bag in dH2O 4.03 4.45 Pos for Sugar
4) dH2O bag in Starch 7.86 8.7 --------------------
5) dH2O bag in Protein  11.11 11.21 --------------------
6) dH2O bag in Sugar 8.16 8.37 --------------------

 

Anomalies:

Test 3: Shows sugar leaving the Bag while not producing a significant change in the weight.

 

Observations:

It is possible water can enter and leave the bags freely but cannot take the substances with it.

Tests 3, 5 and 6 show little change in the bag weight: this could be because these bags were more tightly filled than the others and did not want to take in or expel water.
