What are some of the mistakes you made during your last lab?
We chose pH, which was a problem because we couldn't get every exact pH. We should definitely do salt this time.
We also did not do enough trials and did not test enough pHs. We left too many gaps in the data, making our conclusion not credible.
How can you efficiently use your time to answer the question posed?

How many times must you do each trial in order to be able to present it to me?
A minimum of two.

i definitely agree that we should do salt. i think we should do 3 groups of 2 and one group of 3. we should make a chart of which groups do which amounts of salt. then every group should do their test twice and record their data. then we should all do one more test (one that another group already has done) and record their data. we need to come up with the test itself before we start the lab because that will help a lot time wise.

We also need to make sure we do small enough increments so that our data is credible. And yes, salt is the way to go! We need to decide on what our increments should be (how much salt should we add for each test). We'll definitely need all the time we can get. I really like Dani's organized set-up too.

the 1-8 is just an example, we would have to come up with the actual number of i guess it would be grams? that we would want to use. but each group goes up a little bit from the first group. then the second time, we rotate all the amounts so every test has many times it is done. also, the groups would be like normal i guess? me and dan. steph jess and raigne. mikell and val. sam and jack? also, we have to find out what the actual test will be and what the result should look like at the perfect amount.

ok i like this set up. has anyone figured out the amount of salt we should use? I think we should figure that out before we get to the lab. its kinda late now tho.

in order to make sure we denature the enzyme I think we should put at least 1:1 salt:potato slushie ratio
